Our charity work

Our charity work last year sponsored underprivileged and disabled kids to a rural property with their families for some repsite and new adventures they normally could not do.

These photos are of the recent kids attending and it's a credit to the club for making this happen.
Our thanks to Chris and Karin Gardner for their wonderful work in hosting these children .

2016 Awards Night

The awards for 2016 have been presented and certainly well deserved.

The night was a success with only some minor technical issues beyond our control. To those who attended this night thank you very much and for sharing the presentation of the awards to our remarkable students and volunteers.

To the organising committee the club owes you their gratitude for the 100 + hours it took to put this event together.

Of particular note are the following awards recipients:-

  • Volunteer of the Year – Des and Kyleigh Bailey (Dalby),
  • Charity – Mrs Geraldine Choi and Mrs Helen Schmidt with special mention to Miss Fiona McLeod and Mr Adam Williams,
  • 20 year Awards – Mr Nick lee and Dr Justin Bray,
  • Instructors of the Year – Mr James Pruss (Cleveland) and Mr Adam Williams (Capalaba),
  • Yoshi Nakazato Memorial Award – Mr Daniel Mohr,
  • Club Branchof the year – Indooroopilly,
  • Student of the Year – Mr Gordon Ma.

There were many highlights on the night and the awarding of so many spirit awards is a testament to your outstanding contribution to the club and your perseverance in training. Our gratitude is also expressed to our Club Patron Mr Michael Groom for being able to attend.
